Gather with friends, neighbors, conservationists, and outdoor enthusiasts for an evening under the stars featuring live music, bonfire, local beer, raffle, and good company.

Celebrating Five Years of In the Park After Dark
For five years, In the Park After Dark has brought our community together to celebrate the North Chickamauga Creek watershed and raise critical funds for its protection.
What began as a gathering around a shared love of the outdoors has become NCCC’s largest fundraiser of the year. Every ticket, donation, sponsorship, and contribution helps make our conservation work possible.
This year, we’re celebrating the people and partners who make that work possible while looking ahead to the next chapter of conservation in the watershed.
Protecting the North Chickamauga Creek Watershed Since 1989
The North Chickamauga Creek Conservancy (NCCC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. It protects the lands and waters of the North Chickamauga Creek watershed.
NCCC began in 1989. Its focus was creating a greenway from the Tennessee River to the North Chickamauga Creek Gorge. Today, our conservation work has grown, yet the mission remains.
Over the years, NCCC has helped acquire and protect land from Bowater and other large landowners. This secured critical acreage for the State Natural Area. It now stretches from FlipperBend on the Gorge’s southern rim. to the upper reaches of Cain Creek and North Chickamauga Creek. Additionally, NCCC In the Park After Dark supports community access and conservation.
But protecting the watershed means more than protecting land. NCCC has long advocated for North Chickamauga Creek as a vital natural resource. We work to promote responsible development along the creek and advocate for policies that recognize and protect the creek as an Exceptional Water of the State. Our approach to conservation is cooperative. We believe lasting protection comes from bringing landowners, municipalities, conservationists, and community members to the table.
