Adventure Race
The Greenway Challenge Adventure Race involves up to 50 three-person teams cycling, paddling and running along the Greenway trails and North Chickamauga Creek. Along the way, racers will encounter special tests requiring teamwork.
Registration required. See adventure race.

Photography Contest
The importance of conservation of green spaces and the natural world will be highlighted in an exhibit of nature and landscape photography presented by the Photographic Society of Chattanooga. Images of North Chickamauga Creek and other locations will be displayed.
No admission fee. Fifteen percent of all sales will be donated to NCCC.

Canoeing On The Creek
Canoe tours of North Chickamauga Creek will be offered. This will give participants a unique view of the flora and fauna along the Creek, highlighting the need for protection of this riparian habitat.
No charge. Donations are appreciated.

Children's Activities
Watershed Maze
This maze simulates North Chickamauga Creek as it flows to the Tennessee River. Children participate by trying to find their way through the maze to reach the river. Along the way, they encounter things that often happen to waterways as they flow downstream, and will learn the importance of keeping the waterways clean.

Let's Plant Wildflowers
Participants will be given potting soil and flower seeds to plant. Volunteers will talk about the importance of planting native vegetation, and each child will be able to take his/her potted plant home.

This Is For The Birds
Pinecone bird feeders will be made. Volunteers will explain the significance of protecting and preserving wild lands for wildlife. Each bird feeder will have a string tied to it so that the children can hang it on a branch at home.
No charge. Donations are appreciated.
